DAY TWO: AUGUST 07
1. SHARE A BOOK PANTRY
After the Opening Ceremony of the AYW 2022, AYAN aims to facilitate other physical activities that are focused on one of its pillars, community well being. This involves the launch of the Share a Book Pantry to be held in Brgy. San Jose, Calamba City, Laguna. A short program consisting of book reading, gift giving and community lunch. These activities are in continuation with AYAN’s involvement in the Department of Education’s Brigada Pabasa, a campaign that aims to help Filipino children to become functionally literate.2. AYAN PH: GREEN HUB PROJECT
On the same day, is the continuation of the Green Hub: Fundraising Workshop Series for Aspiring Gardeners. It is a workshop and fundraiser series focusing on urban gardening with different partners and organizations discussing the know-hows of gardening and its effect in the wider society.3. AYAN THAILAND: HUMAN LIBRARY
This is a simulation of a classical library in which the readers can come, borrow and interactively learn from a book made from real human experience. It will be a weekly online-based activity aiming to create an interactive learning experience from in-depth experience sharing by volunteers. The library aims to give readers a first-hand, direct experience on subjects of their interest. Our AYAN Thailand team acts as a "librarian" in providing online interactive books and using the “storytelling" method.
